My wife is participating in a ‘Iron Chef’ style cooking contest with a few of her friends and they had a practice session this past weekend. I tagged along and became their ‘photographer’. The theme of the contest is mushrooms and it had to be vegetarian.
Here’s some yummy pictures of the 2 dishes they practiced making.
The first is the crepe cake, an entree dish. Its stacked crepes with mushroom fillings in between each layer, topped off with melted cheese at the top.
The second is mushroom bread pudding, a dessert. Its a twist on the traditional bread pudding dessert by adding mushrooms into the batter and baked to a golden brown perfection.

Both dishes were creative and delicious and I hope they win !
